Editor’s Notes – August 2026

written by BVC August 31, 2026

Dear Readers,

For many, August is a time to begin to gear up for a change in season and accept that the first arrival of cooler nights that come in September is just around the corner. This time of year is also a time to prepare for what Autumn will bring. As families look to school schedules, companies across the Caribbean are looking at their business plans to ensure that priorities are set for the last fiscal quarter of the year.

Throughout the Caribbean region, as tourists are still basking in the last few weeks of summer, local business success stories and organizations across the islands are starting to buckle down to ensure that best practices are put into place for the last few months ahead in 2026.

Business View Caribbean’s August issue captures this energy shift with features that cover a cross-section of regional companies and organizations. For our current issue, we had the opportunity to sit down with Creative Developments, a leading and innovative construction success story that builds by design throughout Puerto Rico. Committed to its clients and offering cutting-edge services, this company is constructing a great road ahead.

As construction demands continue to grow throughout the islands, we also had the chance to profile TigerQ1 Architecture. With winning designs and an in-depth view of the local market, this leading architectural firm is growing from strength to strength.

From design and construction demands to the demands of the educational sector, we also bring you a fascinating profile piece on Galen University. Keeping an eye on regional economic drivers and offering a relevant and intensive curriculum, we discovered what has led to impressive student outcomes.

As with every issue, my hope as editor-in-chief is that our valued readers continue to learn something new about the business picture across the stunning Islands with each issue we produce for you.
